Article 1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy explains, precisely, what cookies and similar browser-storage technologies verendigital.com (the "Site"), operated by Veren Digital Solutions Limited ("Veren Digital," "we," "us," or "our"), uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. We keep this list deliberately short — the Site does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, cross-site tracking technology, or any third-party ad network. This Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle the underlying data once collected, and applies to every visitor to the Site regardless of location, though the specific legal basis we rely on (Article 6) is described with reference to the GDPR, UK-GDPR, and NDPR frameworks that govern most of our visitors.

Article 2. Definitions

• "Cookie" means a small text file placed on your device by a website you visit, which can be read back by that website on a later visit to recognize your browser.
• "Persistent Cookie" means a Cookie that remains stored on your device for a set period after you close your browser, until it expires or you delete it.
• "Session Cookie" means a Cookie that is automatically deleted when you close your browser and does not persist beyond that browsing session.
• "First-Party Cookie" means a Cookie set directly by the website you are visiting — in the case of this Site, verendigital.com.
• "Third-Party Cookie" means a Cookie set by a domain other than the one you are visiting, such as a Cookie set by Google Analytics while you are browsing verendigital.com.
• "Browser Storage" means a key-value store (such as localStorage) that your browser retains for a given website; unlike a Cookie, it is not automatically transmitted with every request to that website's server.
• "Consent," for purposes of this Policy, means your freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous agreement, given by clicking "Accept" on the cookie banner described in Article 6, to the setting of the Cookies described in Article 3.

Of the items listed in Article 3, only _ga and _ga_* are Cookies in the technical sense described in Article 2, and both are Third-Party Cookies: they are Persistent Cookies set and controlled by Google as part of Google Analytics, not by Veren Digital directly, even though they appear on verendigital.com. veren-analytics-consent is not a Cookie at all — it is Browser Storage, set directly by the Site as a First-Party technology, and Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights set neither a Cookie nor any Browser Storage. This distinction matters in practice because Third-Party Cookies are generally easier to block at the browser level than First-Party technologies, and most modern browsers let you block third-party cookies specifically while still allowing first-party ones — see Article 7 for how.

Article 5. Why We Use Them

Google Analytics helps us understand which pages and calls-to-action are actually working, so we can improve the Site — but only once you have told us it is acceptable to load it. The consent-flag entry in browser storage exists solely to honor and remember that choice, so we do not need to re-ask you on every visit. Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights give us aggregate performance data, such as page-load speed, without identifying any individual visitor, which is why they run regardless of your cookie choice. We do not use any of the technologies described in this Policy to build an advertising profile of you, to target you with ads on other websites, or to sell or share information about your browsing behavior with any third party for their own purposes.

Article 6. Legal Basis for Cookies

Where the GDPR, UK-GDPR, or an analogous NDPR principle applies, our legal basis for setting the Google Analytics cookies described in Article 3 is your Consent, obtained through the cookie banner presented on your first visit and not assumed by continued browsing. We do not currently deploy any cookie that would qualify as "strictly necessary" and therefore exempt from a consent requirement; if that changes, we will update this Policy and, where required, the consent mechanism itself. Where the CCPA/CPRA applies, our use of the Google Analytics cookies described in Article 3 does not constitute a "sale" or "share" of personal information as those terms are defined under that law, because we do not receive any monetary or other valuable consideration for the data Google Analytics collects and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Article 7. Your Choices; How to Withdraw Consent

If you declined cookies on the banner, nothing further is required — Google Analytics never loaded in the first place, and no analytics cookie was set. If you accepted and want to change your mind, use the "Change your cookie choice" control on this page, which clears the stored consent flag and reloads the Site so the banner is presented again; alternatively, you can clear verendigital.com's site data directly in your browser settings. Either method takes effect immediately.

You can also control or delete cookies directly through your browser's own settings, independent of our cookie banner: in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge, this is typically found under a "Privacy and Security" or "Cookies and Site Permissions" section of the browser's settings menu, where you can view, delete, or block cookies on a per-site or per-type basis (for example, blocking Third-Party Cookies while allowing First-Party ones). Because this is a browser-level setting, it affects every website you visit, not just this Site, and the exact menu location changes as browsers update their interfaces — consult your browser's own help documentation for current, precise steps.

Article 8. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control Signals

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal, and some browser extensions offer a "Global Privacy Control" (GPC) signal, that a website can optionally read and act on. There is no single, legally binding technical standard for how a website must respond to either signal, and browser support for both is inconsistent. At present, this Site does not automatically read or act on DNT or GPC signals — our cookie banner is the mechanism by which we ask for, and record, your Consent, and declining or accepting through that banner is what actually determines whether Google Analytics loads. If this changes, we will update this Article to describe how DNT or GPC is handled.

Article 9. Third-Party Cookies

The Google Analytics cookies described in Article 3 are set and read by Google, not by us directly, and are subject to Google's own privacy and cookie practices in addition to this Policy. We do not control how Google processes data once it has been collected through Google Analytics; see Google's own privacy policy for that detail. Google acts as an independent controller of the data it collects through Google Analytics for its own analytics-product purposes, in addition to processing it on our behalf to provide us with aggregate reporting.

Article 10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy if the cookies or storage technologies the Site uses change. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version.
